At DBS we are always keen to understand more about our clients; what they want from our services and how we can improve. This week we sat down with Bryn from Cobac security to ask about his experiences with DBS. Brynn started at the DBS Castle Donington site as a new start up company and has since grown and changed offices to meet his business needs accordingly and is currently in an office at the DBS Ashby de la Zouch centre.
Cobac are a specialist security and consultancy company providing people-based services to the hotel, hospitality, leisure, corporate, residential and retail sectors. They are passionate about their people and believe a cared for, trained and motivated team, with expertise and technology, adds value to their clients.
Bryn liaised with our Marketing Manager, Emily Johnston, to reflect on his time at DBS:
Hi Bryn, thank you for talking with me today, so to start with can I ask what attracted you to DBS Offices initially?
As a security service provider with a small internal team that delivers to large blue chip clients, we had certain key criteria to meet when finding a suitable office location. A small reasonably priced office with the ability to utilise shared meeting rooms and flexible onsite parking were absolute minimums, DBS were able to deliver these minimums and more! We found no other provider that gave the visual wow factor, homely own office feel and flexibility that DBS did.
We do aim to be as flexible as we can with clients to support their development, and you did outgrow our Castle Donington offices fairly quickly – did you find the offices here helped with this growth?
When we initially took our first DBS office, our business was in its infancy and changing on a monthly basis, DBS were so helpful during this phase of growth. We have increased our office size twice since being with DBS and on both occasions it was managed perfectly from start to finish. We were shown new suitable offices and moved out at our convenience, with no business disruption. From a cost management perspective, DBS have always been able to stagger the monthly and deposit increases to support our growth, lessening the cost increase, prior to our own financial realisation of this growth.
It’s really great to hear that this helped you, and it really is a privilege for us to see a business grow in its infancy. When you outgrew the available space at Castle Donington you moved to our Ashby location. We were delighted to have you stay with DBS as a company, can you tell us more about why you made that decision?
We moved to DBS Ashby due to a combination of needing more office space and the location changes of key staff members. It was an easy decision for us as we still get to use all of the facilities that DBS Castle Donington provide but we are now in a much larger office with a more convenient location. Our initial attraction to DBS still remains and to date we have not found another serviced office provider that can match DBS’s visually unique buildings and personal service.
We do offer a unique look with our offices – we don’t feel cost should be a barrier to prestige work space. Would you recommend DBS to other businesses?
Yes, you will not find anything else on the market as good as DBS! To any business considering DBS I’d say your clients and staff will be suitably impressed with what DBS offer!

They are excellent, always happy and willing to go the extra mile to help, like an extension of your own team!
They really are a fantastic bunch of people, but how about our office space – can you describe that in one sentence?
Visually pleasing & unique, not your typical serviced office block!
No we really are not a typical office block, we believe you have to like where you work and we are really keen on natural lighting and pleasant surroundings. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Just that DBS have catered for every service we have needed, from telephone answering and varying sized meeting rooms to IT & Communication support & serviced apartments for our clients. We are very happy here and would fully recommend DBS to any business that needs space that works for them.
