About the team
“I founded DBS 24 years ago having struggled to find quality, affordable office facilities for our management consultancy company (IMD). I thought at the time there must be other companies who want the same as I do for my business and I was right! DBS Managed Offices was started to provide impressive character offices in beautiful surroundings that create an excellent image for business and a professional, but friendly, atmosphere for our customers and their clients. DBS has grown over the years to three centres in key locations throughout the East Midlands with close proximity to major road networks and airport/rail links.”
What can I do for you: I am passionate about providing the kind of workspace and quality of service that helps people to be productive and successful but at the same time is a really comfortable and enjoyable place to work.
Likes: Straight conversations, country walks, good food and wine and travel
Dislikes: Poor customer service, excuses and not enough time to do all the interesting things on my ‘list’

I started with DBS in 2003 after working in Pharmacy so quite a difference! I enjoy the variety and challenge of working for DBS with the offices, meeting rooms, flexible working, virtual offices and our growing portfolio of serviced accommodation. In my spare time I enjoy long walks with my beautiful dog and then settling down on the sofa with him to watch a movie.
What can I do for you: As General Manager, I oversee the day to day running of all the properties, ensuring good quality and customer service is maintained. I have lots of experience and can advise you on the most affordable and appropriate work space solution for your business; whether that’s a fully serviced, semi-serviced, virtual or shared office.
I can also help you to find the most restful and comfortable apartment; for a lone traveller, 2 people, number of colleagues or a family and whether it’s an overnight stay, weekend break, working week, a month or a number of months – we can offer flexibility and great value for money.
Likes: Reaching win:win’s, honesty, good manners, nice food and wine.
Dislikes: Poor customer service, unfairness, ill manners, getting older!

“I’ve always had a love of numbers, growing up. At 18 I was given the opportunity to train and work in accountancy and I’ve never looked back! I’ve worked as an Accountant for various companies, including events, manufacturing and social care industries. However, my real passion is working within small – medium sized enterprise. I like being able to create processes, streamline accountancy practices and reconcile accounts for ever growing and ever-changing businesses.”
What can I do for you: I manage the accountancy for DBS so I’ll be your point of contact for invoicing queries. I also offer accountancy support to clients, so whether you need more robust procedures or some training in SAGE, I can help. I can also do book keeping, tax returns and payroll and pension contributions on behalf of clients – whether it is training or to take the task completely.
Likes: Motorbikes, Speedway & touring in my caravan (with or without the grandchildren!)
Dislikes: Sloppy workmanship, negative attitudes and any film with Jim Carey!

I have always liked working in a busy environment and finding ways to develop myself. I believe that what you put in you will get out in life. In my spare time I enjoy going out with friends/family, travelling, and going on holidays (mainly places with some sun).
What can I do for you: I am the business centre co-ordinator providing a professional and friendly service to clients and staff. I ensure that the centre runs smoothly and that clients have everything they need to allow them to focus on their business. I can take your booking enquiries for meeting rooms/day offices’/co-working and anything else you need on the day.
Likes: Being on the beach with a cocktail, funny people, going running and eating good food.
Dislikes: Laziness, dishonesty, and cold weather.

General support team
To make sure our offices, meeting rooms and apartments’ standards are maintained, we have a full team of staff to look after them, our clients and visitors. This includes:
We understand how dependent businesses are on IT and if there is a problem with your network or your PC, you cannot afford to wait hours or days for a fix, you need help immediately. That’s why we have a full time IT Consultant who is responsible for the smooth running of the DBS internet, telecoms and technology and also supports our clients’ networks. Our IT specialist can be with you in minutes, not hours, to help – a business critical service, and an added benefit of working with DBS.
Likes: Listening to music of many different genres, attending concerts, problem solving.
Dislikes: Meat as I have been a vegetarian for many years, garden frogs.
Our maintenance team play a vital role in looking after the buildings, offices and grounds and they’re also on hand to help clients when needed. Need a whiteboard putting up in your office, shelving or pictures? Furniture removals when moving in or out? Just ask and we can help.
Likes: Dog training, competing in dog competitions, country sports, Leicester City Football Club, beer and spirits.
Dislikes: Wine, spicy food, shopping but still has to go.
Our cleaning staff attend our properties daily to look after the cleaning, servicing and housekeeping for our offices and apartments.
