Our Business in the Spotlight for October is here and we are sitting down with Readie Construction Ltd, one of our new clients to join us at our Castle Donington Centre.
🗨️ Please tell us about your business and services:
We are a Principal Contractor within the Construction Industry, focusing mainly on Industrial and Commercial sectors.
🗨️ What encouraged you to choose DBS Managed Offices for your business?
We visited several potential offices in the Midlands but were particularly drawn to the DBS offices in Castle Donnington as it provides office space in a beautiful working environment whilst being close to various local amenities within the village itself.
🗨️ Please tell us a bit about your team and who is in your team
Whilst the office is available for all members of RCL to use as required, the more permanent members based there are: Graham Haywood (Managing QS), Syed Sabeel (Financial Controller), Nick Lakin (Operations Director), and Paul Gascoyne (Senior Design Manager).
🗨️ Give us a fun fact about your team!
Not necessarily a fun fact, but here at RCL we are one big happy family, regardless of position or length of service, every member of the team is made to feel at home!
🗨️ What has been your businesses’ greatest success to date?
One of our greatest successes to date must be the continued growth of the business. The company has seen significant growth in employee numbers, on 31st January 2021 there were 152 employees and on 31st July 2022, there were 269, an increase of 77%. We have a structured training and apprenticeship scheme in place and currently have approximately 30% of staff enrolled in formal training programmes, approximately half of whom are enrolled in an apprenticeship course.
We are also finalists in this years “Construction News – Best Place to Work (Contractor Award)”
🗨️ What have you liked most about your time at DBS Managed Offices?
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff on site, along with the peacefulness of the surrounding areas.
🗨️ Do you have anything exciting coming up in the future for your business or for your clients?
We are launching the Readie Charity Committee to oversee and increase the charity work and donations from Readie and it’s employees.
The next few months will also see the launch of our new Website and a brand refresh, allowing us to communicate better with our employees and the industry.
