Castle Donington will come alive from 5.00pm for the “switch-on” of the Christmas lights.

Everyone is welcome to meet in the St Edwards churchyard for a lantern procession led by Santa and his (LIVE!) reindeer to the Market Place.

There children will be able to meet Disney’s Elsa and Olaf and have their photo taken with Santa and his reindeer. There are also  representatives from Donington Park who will be handing out glowsticks, as well as a fire engine, free childrens ride and choir singing traditional christmas carols.

For the adults many of the local businesses and shops will remain open until 8.00pm for Christmas Late Night Shopping and will be offering seasonal refreshments and sweets for the children.
