Castle Donington is also getting ready to rock with the Download Festival which will take place from 8th – 10th June 2018 at Donington Park.

Download was formerly called ‘Monsters of Rock’ but changed its name in 2003. It is the most popular British summer rock and heavy metal festival and has hosted some of the genres’ biggest names, including Saxon, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Kiss, Judas Priest, Status Quo, Mötley Crüe, Journey, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Faith No More, and Guns N’ Roses.

Thousands of hardy fans flock to Castle Donington to attend the annual festival whatever the weather – heavy rain can see the site becoming a mud bath but, fingers crossed, fine weather is (currently) being forecast for the festival weekend.

This years fesitival kicks off on Friday 8th June with 4 different stages. Guns N’ Roses, Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson will headline this years events with nearly 100 bands in support. Off-Stage there is also a variety of entertainment for everyone to enjoy…. Fairground, WWE Live, Cinema, Comedy Tent….
